Fairfax Station Va Well Inspection

Are you interested in buying property in Fairfax Station VA? Don’t forget the well inspection!

Obviously, if the property you’re interested in is in the city, or connected to county water, it’s not something you have to worry about, but many homes in the area have wells and septic systems. If the one you’re thinking of buying does, we can help with that.

We’ve been serving the region since 1987, and in that time have become a respected member of the business community, and we’re frequently called upon to perform Fairfax Station VA well inspections and septic system inspections. We’d be happy to help.

Our Fairfax Station VA well inspection service is comprehensive, and includes an end to end check of every component of your well, including but not limited to:

  •  The well itself
  •  Whatever structure encloses or surrounds it
  •  The well cap
  •  The grout used to seal it
  •  The pump responsible for ferrying the water from the ground into your home, and the pressure gauge
  •  The arrestors
  •  Electrical wiring
  •  All the piping, fittings and valves
  •  The control box and switches
  •  And capacitors

With any luck, we won’t find any problems at all. If that’s the case, great news! You can buy the property with confidence and peace of mind.

If there are problems, you can either walk away from the deal or use the information contained in our inspection report as leverage to get the buyer to fix the issue or lower the price to give you the funds to do so.

If you already own a home in the area that has a well on the property, we recommend having your well inspected on an annual basis. It’s cheap insurance and the best way get a heads up if there are potential problems on the horizon; much better than being surprised by them when you suddenly find yourself without water!

Note that a well inspection and a water test are not the same things. Although we do not perform water purity tests, we recommend you have this done as well before you buy, and again at periodic intervals.

Remember, if you are supplying your own water, you won’t be able to rely on the city or county to fix any issues you might have and to guarantee the quality of the water coming out of the well. You’ll have to see to that yourself, and given that humans can’t survive for very long without water, it’s super important and a detail that’s not to be overlooked.

Don’t buy a new home in the region blind. Get as much information as you possibly can before you find yourself on the hook for a mortgage. We’ll be happy to assist. Call us today.
